Academy closure proposal for Baldersby St James Church of England Primary School.

In accordance with the statutory guidance the relevant Minister has agreed a substantive decision to close the School and to progress to the Listening Period.
The School is designated as a rural school and the Executive are requested to agree the County Council’s formal response to the proposal to be submitted to the Academy Trust prior to the end of the Listening Period.
The Executive are also required to consider the future treatment of the School’s catchment area in the event of closure.

 

NYCC is a stakeholder in the process as described in the Departmental guidance on ‘Making significant changes to an open academy and closure by mutual agreement’ dated November 2019.
